High Point "Market"
For those of you that have never heard of High Point Market, it is the largest furniture & accessory trade show in the world... drawing an estimated 80,000 people!!
It is not open to the general public... instead industry insiders (whom are buyers) from large retailers like (Anthropologie, Restoration Hardware) to "small boutique" owners like me come to seek out the latest trends, attend seminars & "smooze" with people from our industry. It is a ton of fun & truly inspiring.
Here are a few pics from my recent trip to give you an inside view of how we shop at this amazing show! Enjoy!
My sister-in-law Terri traveled along with me on this trip. This was her first experience at "Market" and she absolutely loved it! Such a treat to have a companion with me:)
Love the antique chandelier and old vintage shutters
Why can't my bookcases look like this???
Very cool tufted chair that has "petite" fleurette gatherings
Garden "Les Fleurs" inspiration
This is one of my favorite showrooms...believe it or not this was an old garage that they transformed into this magical garden wonderland!
When I walked into this showroom, I felt like I was at Les Fleurs...love the flowers gathered together in vintage bottles!
Window boxes made out of old wood...this company makes custom tables out of reclaimed wood and uses the "scraps" to make these amazing window boxes...love that they recycle
This showroom used to be an old bank...yes, that is a bed in the vault...hmm...
Milpa burl tree slabs from South East Mexico, bleached from the sun
Not sure what these are, but I'm calling them "wooden bowling balls"
Ok, yes, even I get tired and need a rest... of course I had to pick the most amazing chair in the showroom!
Bleached manzanita branches in an antique grape basket...truly amazing
Hope you enjoyed my trip to High Point...
