roses are red... and the only flower we used for this holiday party spectacular!  each season i am honored to plan and design a holiday party for clients in their home surrounded by wonderful friends and family.  the night is special, the mood is joyous and the food... the music... the decor, FAB-U-LOUS.  together we spend the better of 12 months playing with idea's for food, favors, design, music just to name a few elements, and in that one evening it all comes together.  all the images for the evening here are from lindsay, lindsay flanagan photography (this is 2012's party... lindsay and i will be sharing 2013's images soon)

sequin linen's sparkled through-out the house.  simple, slim gold faux bois vases filled with red roses added a pop of color to the cocktail tables.

i tend to live by the phrase "less is more"(don't get me wrong... i love beautiful things, just less of the selection and more of the thing i love).  when designing for client's or couple's it's very important to always hear their idea's, as well as their desires regarding their floral decor.  for our client's party, lush-indulgence is always in the under laying theme... how i interpret that idea is what changes every year.  heartfelt donations the "the make a wish foundation" in all their guests names as their favor is one beautiful way our client's interpret indulging... which i soo love!  candles and red roses is just another way i imagine lush :o)  we filled the whole foyer with tall cylinder vases with floating candles... with lush red rose petals everywhere.  it was magic!

no party is complete without a champagne bar that serves only perrier & veuve!

yummy!!  flat breads & oysters by joe fish's amazing executive chef, jay duffley were just one of many passed hors d'ourves.  each year jay has a great task of creating a beautiful menu with seasonal fare that i enjoy helping with almost as much as designing the party.

swoon worthy winter whites in the bouquets... tweedia, ranunculas, lilac, lisianthus, peonies and hydrangea for mckenzie's bouquet

white flowering quince were both delicate and subtle for m&r's ceremony decor

lanterns are a perfect start to your table scape. the barn at gibbet hill has beautiful lanterns you may rent and design floral's around, (in, next too) them.  together we chose simple 3" glass cubes (4 per table), filled them with dusty miller and a mix of white winter blooms... packed in the votives and voila!! romantic and simply stunning.  a perfect example of less is more in this february wedding

happy fall!!  i just said fall, when did it become october?  

the season was so busy at the shop it seemed to slip by faster than normal.  as we start to near the end of wedding season (tho we are not even close to done, thrilled to say we have wedding booked every weekend through the end of december for 2013!!) we've transitioned the store to fall... full of pumpkins, grasses and gourds, there are some special weddings and events we've designed this past summer i want to share.  

we've had such an amazing wedding season, full of special couples, fabulous flowers and beautiful venues!  willowdale estate in topsfield, mass is one of our favorites!!

a soft and romantic color tone swept through ben & talia's wedding day.  bouquets in blush and ivory tones complimented the bridesmaids (amazing!!) blush gowns.  

back bloggin'!!  hooray! and what lovely flowers we have coming up!  the gals at les fleurs have been busy bee's this summer... sunning at the beach, lunching and enjoying all the time off... kidding, kidding. wedding bonanza's over here.  a heartfelt thank you to all the couples whose flowers have been on their receptions tables and all the vendors who refer les fleurs, we couldn't be more thankful for such a busy wedding season!

the fleurette's have been keeping their own busy schedules too... a new bride and a baby on the way make for such excitement around the shop.  we're getting FABULOUS new item's in everyday, secretly counting down the day's until the shop is filled with pumpkins, wheat and crisp air.  until then, here is one of my favorite weddings of the season so far...
