hybrid delphinium
for most flowers i prefer there blooms in white... so as chosen above our flower of the day is non-other than (drum roll please...) WHITE hybrid delphinium.
there are more than 1 type of delphinium we have the chance to work with in the market as well as grow locally in the garden. the hybrid variety is by far my MOST FAVORITE!! temperamental at times, but soo worth it.
i love their little bell like blooms, they remind me of munchkin hats that those adorable wizard of oz munchkins wore

calla lily
much like our lacking posts of products of the month... our flower of the day has also been non-existent... sorry!! i'm going to get better i promise :o)
these simple, modern stunners work well in flower arrangements and bouquets! not to mention, amazing for boutonnieres! calla lilies are available in many colors and vary in size. for one of our clients wedding's this weekend, these beauties are the only flower being used in the centerpieces. tightly packed groups of all yellow calla lilies. simple and to the point, and need i say more about this amazing shade of yellow!

native lilac AND white anemone
that is correct TWO flowerS of the day... we couldn't let the anemones season end without it's flower of the day debut!! we've had such crazy weather and the anemone will not be available past this week (so we've been told, but you really never know)

these DOUBLE petit blooms are super sweet! and their fragrance is amazing! better than any perfume... the whole shop had the sweetest scent of lilac all day today.
for our second "flower" of the day... anemone
anemone's have made them selves known in the wedding industry as the "it" flower this past year! though there available season is limited they seem to pop up in everything! most commonly seen in white with their rich black center makes them a stand out for black & white wedding decor. other colors we see them in, white with green center, red with black center, light and dark purple with black center and fuchsia with black center... all of which are super cool!
hmmm... i can't wait to find out what next week's flower of the day will be!!

karl rosenfeld peony
double peony, cranberry red
so as i said before i am IN LOVE WITH PEONIES! (see my obession below!!)
rightfully so that i choose them AGAIN as flower os the day, i can't help it... it would be unfair to keep these gems all to myself and not share their amazing-ness (not a word, i know... but that's how to discribe them)
as each week plugs along here at the shop flowers start to disappear and the variety changes... one of the coolest parts of our job, in 4 weeks we'll see completely different flowers, until then i will peony-everything!! and ask the girls, i really will ;o)

white allium
these delicate little blooms are typically available in the market in purple during the later spring and summer months. it was thursday that i stumbled upon these sweet, petite blooms at one of my favorite vendors, kelley wholesale! and too boot, in my FAVORITE color, white! they look so dainty in our arrangements at the shop! perfect for the easter and passover holiday weekend.
allium is available for zones 4-8 as a plant to add such beauty to your garden.
