not every client's idea for their wedding day involves roses dripping from tall crystal candelabras or even traditional floral centerpieces.  for each couple it's the details that help to makes their wedding day, a day all their own.  for many of us (vendors), we work out of similar venue's over time and never do they look the same.  each couple brings such a sense of style and personality with them on their wedding day, that we as designer's help implement into their dream wedding day decor.  wedding planners and coordinators are an amazing source of inspiration and help couples with the direction they visualize.  we enjoy couples with a less conventional idea of their wedding flowers, it challenges us and keeps us on our toes.  

our late october couple you'll see below wed at the barn at gibbet hill in groton, massachusttes and was not looking for a traditional centerpieces... or use of flowers for that matter.  a simple, but very pretty mix of dried french lavender and wheat were used to make sheath's and accent in bouquets and boutonniere's.  enjoy! 

to create the wreaths around the lantern's, julie (one of our talented team members) spent hours carefully combining the dried elements. hand gathering them into bunches and wiring them into wreaths she made...  and let me just say there wasn't a small number of them.  this was one of the messiest centerpiece creations ever, well worth it in the end as our couple was over the moon for everything... let's just say it was "a labor of lavender love" :o)

white allium

these delicate little blooms are typically available in the market in purple during the later spring and summer months.  it was thursday that i stumbled upon these sweet, petite blooms at one of my favorite vendors, kelley wholesale!  and too boot, in my FAVORITE color, white!  they look so dainty in our arrangements at the shop! perfect for the easter and passover holiday weekend.

allium is available for zones 4-8 as a plant to add such beauty to your garden.
