never before have i seen so much love and admiration for a couple as i did for lauren and dan on their november 8 wedding. there wasn't a dry eye during their ceremony at st.mary's in charlestown nor during their first dance at granite links country club. les fleurs was so thrilled to be lauren and dan's wedding florist as the new mrs. is my longest friend. we met in preschool and have journeyed through life together. watching her walk down the aisle on that chilly (but gorgeous) november day i was filled with so much love for my friend and so much joy for what lies ahead for lauren and dan. the AMAZING rebekah of rebekah kay photography photographed lauren and dan's special day and shared a few pictures with us!!
lauren's bridesmaids stunned in eggplant gowns. the ladies carried floral bouquets in reds, burgundies, raspberries & eggplants with subtle green touches. garden roses and calla lilies with seeded eucalyptus and smokebush were half wrapped with stone satin ribbon
one of lauren's favorite flowers is a rose... when we talked about the direction for her bouquet she wanted classic/traditional, simple and creamy white. an all rose bouquet was perfect. a simple balance of tibet, vendela and white majolica roses hand tied with antique white ribbon was the right accessory for her gorgeous gown
lauren and dan exchanged vows at st.mary's parish in charlestown... the same church her grandparents said "i do" in many years ago. on either side of the front alter we placed our white classic garden urns with lush arrangements of white and green blooms with accents of smokebush. lauren and dan used the arrangements at granite links country club following the ceremony on either side of their sweetheart table.
during cocktail hour we nibbled great fare around tables with these fabulous ombre gold candle holders (lauren's dad made these!!) (tutorial for how to make these coming soon from my baby shower) with sweet bud vases in purples and reds
the ballroom at granite links country club looked beautiful with 1/2 tall and 1/2 low style centerpieces. the tall arrangements we designed in 30" high gold pedestals with lush arrangements of purples and reds. surrounding the base of the tall arrangements were our 3-tier candle sticks... this is a lovely way to get candle light at different heights.
i love you to pieces lauren and are so happy for you and dan!! thank you for letting les fleurs be a small part of your big day, congratulations and happy holidays to you both!
